Over-painting describes the use of a produced image as a foundation for expression. i.e. Painting on top of a photograph printed on canvas


Fluorescence

Many of my paintings are intended to be seen in sunlight as well as various degrees of blacklight. I use paints that contain varying degrees of fluorescent pigment and I plot out what will be seen under blacklight while painting the daylight image.Hover here for Dayglo.com’s far more satisfying and technical explanation of fluorescence.
